If you have a spare hour on a Friday afternoon, drop by the Centre to meet Pippa, our ‘Spinner in Residence’. She has a talent for spinning not just a yarn but for incorporating all types of recycled materials and throw away rags into spun thread. She sees beauty in just about anything! Pippa is working towards the creation of a mural for one of the blank walls in the Centre and is happy to talk about her skill and demonstrate the art of spinning. If you want to donate some interesting fabric, wool, yarn, thread or anything you think could be ‘recreated’ as spun thread then drop it by, Pippa is open to suggestions and happy for contributions.
