OCCASIONAL CHILDCARE (OCC)

Our service operates throughout the year and in school holidays but closes for four weeks over the Christmas/New Year period (the last week of December and the first three weeks of January.) We are closed on Public Holidays.
We have on offer 15 childcare places that are funded through the Department of Human Services. We meet all Local, State and Federal regulations and guidelines to offer accessible, affordable and high quality childcare to the local residents of West Footscray and Maidstone communities.
Mon, Tues & Wed, 5 hr session. 9.15am-2.15pm.
There are 2 ways of booking in your child.
- Permanent – ensures your child has a permanent booking for the whole 12 week term.
- Casual – offers flexibility of being pre-enrolled and can utilise the service if and when the need arises. It does not guarantee you a place every week.
Enrolment procedures are the same for each of the above options.
Term booking. 1 x 5hr session $38. Concession $34.20.
Casual booking. 1 x 5hr session $43. Concession $39.
Note: A $10 fundraising levy applies (per family) to enable us to restock consumable supplies.
NB: It is a requirement of the Department of Human Services that any child may only utilise a maximum of 15 hours occasional childcare per week, please keep this in mind when selecting your sessions.
3 YLD KINDERGARTEN PROGRAM
Recent changes in the early childhood sector have meant that a high quality 3yld program can be hard to find.
Our kindergarten activity program has been designed especially for 3ylds and is founded on the Victorian Early Years Learning and Development Framework.
Our program incorporates:
- Interactive library sessions where children regularly visit the library, learn how to select and borrow books and most importantly, appreciate their value;
- the Kids in the Kitchen program helps educate children about the concept of healthy eating and enables eager young chefs the opportunity to whip up healthy snacks to share together.
Our handy onsite access to both book and toy libraries means your child will experience a constant rotation of quality books and educational/developmental toys.
Fees are inclusive of all activities plus you’ll never be asked to sell chocolates or other items as all fundraising is covered by the additional $10.00 fundraising levy paid each term.
Thursday & Friday, 3 hr session. 9.15am-12.15pm.
$180 per term (includes $10 fund raising levy)
