Active Bodies - Active Minds.

Classes for all ages. A fun music program for babies, toddlers and pre-schoolers. Sing and dance to popular children’s songs, play percussion instruments, have fun with finger puppets and dress-ups, incorporating Auslan Sign Language.

You are invited to the Annual General Meeting of West Footscray Neighbourhood House Inc (WFNH)

The purpose of the meeting will be to receive from the Committee of Management a full report of the WFNH activities during 2011 the final 2011 financial reports. In addition, we will be electing new committee members for 2012.

Jackie is our wonderful Tuesday volunteer in the toy library. Her mother Ros found our WFNH website when she was looking for volunteer placements for Jacqui. Support service Milparinka arranged with us to find her a suitable role and the Toy Library seemed perfect. Her duties include maintenance and processing of toys. Her carer Harprit brings her in every Tuesday.

She has a genuine interest in working with children and her role at WFNH was a stepping stone into her getting a volunteer role at a Cassa Bambini child care.  Jacqui’s other interests include dance and movement, animals, helping people and contributing to her local community.  Jacqui volunteers at WFNH, Casa Bambini, The Salvation Army and the Lost Dogs Home.  Jacqui is now quite an accomplished, seasoned and valued volunteer in these organisations. Jacqui enjoys her work at West Footscray Neighbourhood House and looks forward to it and enjoys having her morning tea with parents and the Pram Walking Group every Tuesday.

The Toy Library is OPEN Every Tuesday and Saturday 10am – 12pm

The Maribyrnong Toy Library is a program of the West Footscray Neighbourhood House Inc. and caters for children newborn to 8 years.

Our Toy Library operates just like a book library only we lend out toys not books.  Members pay an annual membership fee, which entitles them to borrow from our large stock of toys.

Come and try a WOMENS CIRCUS FREE Workshop.

Supported by the Maribyrnong City Council.

The Women’s Circus will be offering a broad range of workshops and classes to local community groups so that they can experience circus for the first time in a safe and supportive space. WFNH have been offered some workshop times and are trying to coordinate groups of adults and children the chance to participate. The following times are available… 9.30-10.30am, 1.30-3.30 & 5.30-7pm on the 4th or 5th April.

If you are interested please fill out our Expression of Interest form below with your preferred time and dates and we will try to coordinate some groups for this fun event.

We need a new Treasurer!

Do you have a mind for numbers? Does the sight of a spread sheet make you feel all warm and fuzzy? Is your altruistic nature begging for a new challenge? If so… we need you!

Our volunteer Committee of Management has just had their Treasurer resign and due to the important nature of this role we are appealing for people who may be interested in volunteering for this role. Meetings are every last Wednesday of the month, you are welcome to attend, get a feel for what a CoM does, and what it is like. We really are VERY nice.
