3-year-old activity group
Our 3-year-old activity group has been designed especially for 3-year-olds and follows the Victorian Early Years Learning and Development Framework. It offers a wonderful opportunity for children to play and work together as their independence grows. By the end of the year, your child will be ready to launch into four-year-old kinder.
Each session has around 20 children. There is a mix of structured and non structured time. Structured time might include stories, songs, or incursions. Children eat their packed lunch together which is great for their independence with lunch boxes, packets and containers, and which also leads to non-structured conversation. Each session there are different activities available for children to choose in the less structured times. These are both indoors and outdoors and are themed to the children’s interests.
Our 3-year-old program offers a wide range of activities that are both fun and skill-building.
- Art activities like painting, cutting, and pasting.
- Pretend play such as kitchen, babies, and occupations like hairdressing
- Sensory play like a tub of rice, water, lightbox, playdough
- Visits to the co-located library to sing, hear a story, and borrow books
- Outdoor play including scooters, climbing, sandpit and cubby house
- Play with natural elements
- Activities that celebrate different cultures and festivals
- Group activities like cooking, dancing and storytime

This program is not eligible for government rebates as our staff are childcare qualified. As a not for profit community service we keep our fees as low as possible.
As a small centre our wonderful staff, Lily and Liza, really get to know each child well, providing a nurturing environment and catering to lots of different interests.
Lily has many years of experience in childcare. She always takes the time to chat to parents about how their children are going and we love her for her creative ideas and huge personality. Liza has a very genuine warmth and really draws each child out.
Lily and Liza have run this group together for some years and both have a Diploma in Children’s Services.
